Nothing on the walls. Heat only the rooms you use. Slim white PowerBoard panels on the ceiling warm people and everything in the room directly, instead of heating the air first. Supplied and installed across the UK.
Installation steps vary slightly between product types. Choose your panel to see the correct guide.
Screwed directly into timber or metal ceiling joists. No mounting brackets required.
Steps 1-5 are DIY, Step 6 requires a qualified electrician.
Remove panel from packaging. Check for any damage during transit. Verify all mounting hardware and screws are included.
Use a stud finder to locate timber or metal ceiling joists. Mark the panel position ensuring at least 50mm clearance from walls. Avoid positioning directly over beds.
Drill pilot holes through the panel fixing points directly into the joists. Use appropriate drill bit for timber or metal joists.
With a helper, lift the panel and align with pilot holes. Screw directly into timber or metal joists using the provided screws. Ensure panel is secure and level.
Run the plug-and-play wiring harness above the ceiling. Clip securely to joists at regular intervals to keep cables tidy and away from insulation.
STOP HERE. A qualified Part P electrician must complete the electrical connection to your consumer unit and provide a certificate.
UK Building Regulations require qualified electricians for fixed electrical heating installations. Here's what you need to know.
All fixed electrical heating installations in England & Wales must comply with Part P of Building Regulations. This means the work must be done by a registered electrician or inspected by Building Control.
We recommend using an electrician registered with NICEIC, NAPIT, or similar competent person schemes. They can self-certify their work without Building Control inspection.
Your electrician should provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate. This is required for insurance and any future property sale.
The electrician will assess whether your existing circuits can handle the additional load and may install a dedicated circuit if required.
We work with a network of NICEIC and NAPIT registered electricians across the UK. Get in touch and we'll help connect you with a qualified installer in your area.
