Nothing on the walls. Heat only the rooms you use. Slim white PowerBoard panels on the ceiling warm people and everything in the room directly, instead of heating the air first. Supplied and installed across the UK.
Certificate No. 30095 (PB-S-250)
The safety standard for household electric heaters
On every PowerBoard panel
Wired and certified by a registered electrician
Basis: A direct electric heater turns virtually all the electricity it draws into heat in the room, with no flue or pipework to lose it through. That is true of all direct electric heating, so the saving comes from heating only the rooms and hours you use, not from the conversion figure.
Basis: Reflects a typical move from older electric heating, such as storage heaters, or whole-home heating to zoned PowerBoard infrared that heats only the rooms in use. Actual savings vary by property, the system replaced, insulation, usage and tariff. Our savings methodology shows the model and the 27p/kWh rate behind every figure.
Basis: PowerBoard panels can be physically mounted by homeowners using standard tools. However, UK Building Regulations Part P requires that all fixed electrical wiring be completed or certified by a qualified electrician.
Basis: Every installation is wired, tested and certified by a registered electrician under Part P. You can use your own, or on whole homes and larger jobs we can put you in touch with an installer from our network, who prices and invoices the fitting directly.
How we back these claims: certification claims name the certificate and who issued it. Running-cost and savings figures come from our published savings model at 27p/kWh, and individual results vary with the property, usage and tariff. Installation and electrical certification are not included in panel prices unless your quote says so.
