BEAB APPROVED BY INTERTEK (250 PANEL)
Infrared Ceiling Heating for Homeowners

Nothing on the walls. Heat only the rooms you use. Slim white PowerBoard panels on the ceiling warm people and everything in the room directly, instead of heating the air first. Supplied and installed across the UK.

Key Benefits

Almost No Energy Wasted

Carbon fibre heating film converts virtually all electricity directly into radiant heat - there's no heat lost up a flue or through pipework

Warm in 10 Minutes

Reaches full operating temperature in around 10 minutes - no boiler warm-up time, no early morning pre-heat scheduling

Quick to Fit

Ceiling mount using our plug-and-play cable system - the mechanical fix is a straightforward job, electrical connection by a Part P electrician

Nothing to Service

No moving parts, no boiler checks, no annual service required - just silent, reliable heat year after year

No Cold Corners

Multiple panels spaced evenly across the ceiling mean uniform warmth in every corner of the room - no cold spots, no hot blasts

Can Hide in Your Ceiling

The only PowerBoard panel that can be recessed flush into your ceiling - once plastered and painted, it disappears completely

Inside the panel

Five layers, and one of them is a steel safety cassette

The PowerBoard-S 250W is 1200 by 600mm and 12.5mm thin, the same build depth as a sheet of plasterboard. Here is what is between the room and the ceiling void.

Full surface radiant warmth · 99.7% of the electricity becomes heat · Must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671

How the system connects

Four parts, one circuit. Pre-made leads click into the sealed four-way adapter, so your electrician wires the room, not every panel.

Works with your energy system

The heating is one part of an all-electric home. Everything here is designed to run together, and we supply and specify all of it.

Pairs with solar PV

Run the heating on your own generation and cut the running cost to the export rate you gave up.

Zones with Loxone

Room-by-room schedules, presence detection and one app for the whole house.

Smart hot water

Divert surplus solar into the cylinder and heat water off-peak, alongside the panels.

How It's Installed

Steps shown for Surface mount, change mount selection above to see integrated steps.

Mark & plan

Mark ceiling joist positions and plan your cable route to the thermostat location.

Fix spacer to ceiling

Screw the 20mm surface mount spacer to the joist, fixings supplied by your installer. The cable entry is fixed in the panel, so the spacer position determines your cable routing depth.

Connect harness

Connect the plug-and-play cable harness to the panel connector, no hardwiring at the panel. Run the supply cable to the thermostat.

Wire to thermostat & test

Connect the circuit at the thermostat (Part P certified electrician). Set temperature, verify operation, and you're done.

What does it cost to run?

The question that actually matters with electric heating.

13p

A day to run this panel, in typical zoned use

£3.90

A month across the heating season

£47

A year, spread over the full heating schedule

Based on about 5 heating hours a day with panels actually drawing power roughly 38% of that time, because thermostats cycle panels off once a room is at temperature and unoccupied rooms are not heated, at 27p/kWh. We keep this rate fixed, set just above Ofgem's price cap when we chose it (26.32p, October 2026).
