How many panels do I need for my bathroom?

For a standard UK bathroom of 4 to 5 square metres, 2 panels is the right starting point. At 250W each that gives you 500W, the correct output for that room size. For a bigger bathroom up to 8 square metres, add a third panel.

Can I fit this myself or do I need a tradesperson?

The physical mounting is manageable for a competent DIYer. Surface mount panels attach via a 20mm spacer screwed to the joist, and integrated panels fix directly with 8 x 38mm screws through pre-drilled holes. The electrical connection must be done by a Part P certified electrician to comply with Building Regulations and keep your warranty valid.

Can I run these off my solar panels?

Yes. PowerBoard-S panels are fully compatible with solar PV systems. When running on solar during daylight hours your heating cost drops to near zero. We can combine the panels with a matched solar system if you want the complete solution.

What is the difference between the 250W, 500W and 750W panels?

The 250W panel is thinner at 12.5mm, lighter at 6.6kg, and the only model that can be recessed flush into your ceiling. Best for bathrooms, bedrooms and studies. The 500W is surface mount and suits medium rooms like double bedrooms. The 750W covers larger areas with fewer panels, ideal for living rooms, kitchens and open plan spaces.
