BEAB APPROVED BY INTERTEK (250 PANEL)
Infrared Ceiling Heating for Homeowners

Nothing on the walls. Heat only the rooms you use. Slim white PowerBoard panels on the ceiling warm people and everything in the room directly, instead of heating the air first. Supplied and installed across the UK.

Key Benefits

Powerful Enough for Big Rooms

At 1464W/m² heat density, two panels comfortably heat a standard kitchen - four panels cover a large living room or open-plan space

Warm in 10 Minutes

Reaches full operating temperature in around 10 minutes - no pre-heating, no boiler scheduling, no waiting

Fewer Panels, Less Wiring

Higher wattage means you need fewer panels per room - which means less cable, simpler installation, and a tidier ceiling

Nothing to Service

No boiler, no moving parts, no annual maintenance. Just reliable radiant warmth, with a 30 year design life

How the system connects

Frame on, plug in, wire at the thermostat. Up to 7 x 500W or 4 x 750W panels run on one 16A circuit.

Works with your energy system

The heating is one part of an all-electric home. Everything here is designed to run together, and we supply and specify all of it.

Pairs with solar PV

Run the heating on your own generation and cut the running cost to the export rate you gave up.

Zones with Loxone

Room-by-room schedules, presence detection and one app for the whole house.

Smart hot water

Divert surplus solar into the cylinder and heat water off-peak, alongside the panels.

How It's Installed

Surface mount, powder-coated, no painting required.

Mark & plan

Mark ceiling joist positions and plan your cable route to the thermostat location.

Fix frame to ceiling

Fix the surface mounting frame to the ceiling joists using the screws listed on the fixing guide sheet, supplied by your installer.

Connect the lead

The panel lead connects at its sealed rear connection box, so there is no wiring to open up at the panel. Run the supply cable to the thermostat.

Wire to thermostat & test

Connect the circuit at the thermostat (Part P certified electrician). Set temperature, verify operation, and you're done.

What does it cost to run?

The question that actually matters with electric heating.

38p

A day to run this panel, in typical zoned use

£11.69

A month across the heating season

£140

A year, spread over the full heating schedule

Based on about 5 heating hours a day with panels actually drawing power roughly 38% of that time, because thermostats cycle panels off once a room is at temperature and unoccupied rooms are not heated, at 27p/kWh. We keep this rate fixed, set just above Ofgem's price cap when we chose it (26.32p, October 2026).
