PowerBoard panels run on 230V mains, so they pair directly with rooftop solar. On a bright day you can heat your home largely on your own free generation and cut your bills hard.

Adding solar. PowerBoard runs on 230V mains, so rooftop solar can cover part of your heating, mostly in spring and autumn. In midwinter UK solar output is low, so most of the heating still comes from the grid or your battery. We size solar honestly for your roof and your usage rather than promising a figure up front.
Basis: gas at 7.3p per kWh for about 12,000 kWh of gas a year (10,200 kWh of heat). PowerBoard 3,942 kWh a year with zoned use, at 27p per kWh. We keep this rate fixed, set just above Ofgem's price cap when we chose it (26.32p, October 2026). Battery: 70% of that energy at a 7.5p overnight rate and 30% at 27p, about 13.4p per kWh.
