The UK's exclusive supplier of the PowerBoard — the first 230V far-infrared heating system that installs flush into your ceiling void, with zero visible hardware.

Warehouse, Storage & Distribution Heating

Targeted Warmth Where Your Team Works

High-output PowerBoard infrared panels heat people and the surfaces they touch, not the entire air volume of the building. Slash heating costs in tall, draughty warehouses by heating only picking zones, packing benches and inspection bays.

Stop heating the roof void

Warehouses are the worst-case scenario for traditional heating. Tall ceilings, regular door openings, mostly uninsulated steel cladding, and occupants spread thinly across thousands of square metres. Convector or warm-air systems pour energy into the building's air volume, most of which rises straight to the apex and escapes through the cladding and doors.

PowerBoard 750W high-output panels work the opposite way. Mounted directly above the zones where staff actually stand, walk and work, they radiate heat downwards onto people and the floor. Your team feels warm at picking benches, packing tables and inspection points within minutes, with no attempt to bring the whole building up to temperature.

For larger sites we typically design a hybrid: targeted radiant comfort over working zones, gentle frost protection over storage aisles, and full off when shifts end. The result is warm staff, dry stock, and a fraction of the energy bill.

Why infrared is the only sensible warehouse heating choice

Spot heating where your team works

Mount 750W panels directly above picking zones, packing benches, inspection points and break areas. Heat goes where it is paid for, not into the roof void.

Compensates for door openings

Radiant heat warms people and surfaces directly. When the loading bay door opens, occupants stay comfortable because the radiant warmth is not lost with the air.

Tough industrial-grade build

Powder-coated steel housing, IP-rated electronics, no moving parts, no water. Suitable for dusty, busy warehouse environments with a 10-year warranty.

Safe above stock and racking

BEAB certified with low-temperature surface emission. Mounted at correct height clearances above MHE travel paths, racking, and inspection zones.

Frost protection without huge bills

Bulk storage aisles run on cheap frost-protection setpoints (5-8°C), while working zones run at full comfort. Pay only for the comfort you actually need.

Shift-aware scheduling

Heating switches on 10 minutes before each shift, holds setpoint while staff are present, and drops to setback automatically. Easy override for night shifts and weekend operations.

Benefits of PowerBoard in your warehouse

Massive energy savings vs warm-air or radiant gas

Targeted radiant heating typically uses 40-70% less energy than convective heating in warehouse environments.

No flue, no gas supply, no plant room

Frees floor space and removes annual gas safety obligations. Just standard 230V supplies and ceiling mounts.

Better for stock with humidity sensitivity

Radiant heat does not stir up dust and does not drive humidity into temperature swings the way fan-forced heating does.

Faster compliance with HSE comfort guidance

Approved Code of Practice for sedentary workers requires 16°C, light manual 13°C. Spot radiant comfort hits these reliably without heating idle aisles.

Fast, phased install with minimal disruption

Each zone installs in hours and goes live the same day. No need to clear stock or pause operations for an extended period.

Predictable maintenance, fixed cost

No annual boiler service, no flue inspection, no warm-air filter replacements. 10-year product warranty as standard.

What's the right specification for your warehouse?

The exact panel count depends on ceiling height, work pattern and which zones need full comfort vs frost protection. Here are typical starting specifications.

Small warehouse / trade unit (250-500m²)

Medium distribution unit (800-1,500m²)

Your questions, answered

Is infrared really enough heat for a tall warehouse?

Yes, when designed correctly. The principle is to heat people and the floor below, not the air above. With 750W high-output panels mounted at the correct height (typically 3-5m above the floor) over working zones, occupants feel comfortable even with cold air around them.

What about HSE workplace temperature requirements?

The HSE Approved Code of Practice sets 16°C for sedentary work and 13°C for light manual work. Targeted radiant heating reaches these comfort levels reliably at picking and packing stations, with the rest of the building on frost protection.

Can panels be mounted above racking and MHE travel paths?

Yes. We mount panels above MHE clearance lines (typically 3.5-4.5m) and above racking. Each design includes a panel layout that respects forklift travel routes, fire sprinkler heads, lighting, and racking positions.

How does this compare to plaque or tube radiant gas heaters?

PowerBoard offers comparable radiant comfort but with no gas supply, no flue, no annual gas safety, and significantly more granular zone control. It is also silent, where gas plaque heaters have audible burner cycling.

Is there a minimum ceiling height required?

For 750W panels we recommend 2.4m minimum mounting height for occupant safety. Most warehouses are well above that. For lower-ceiling spaces the 250W or 500W panels are used instead.
